Charlie Benante (Anthrax) Signature Presets out now!

New signature collection of presets for AmpliTube available now completely free

Not many know this, but thrash legend Charlie Benante isn't just the drummer for Anthrax. Alongside rhythm guitarist Scott Ian he has composed the majority of the music throughout Anthrax's discography. We're proud to announce a new collection of 23 signature presets from Charlie Benante, available completely free for all AmpliTube CS (Custom Shop) users in My Products, complete with installation instructions.

Check out some of what Charlie has to say about AmpliTube in the video below as well as a full description of each of his signature presets.

  1. CB - Black Lodge  - A haunting tremolo guitar tone with a touch of Digital Reverb, using the Fender '64 Vibroverb, inspired by the song "Black Lodge" from the album "Sound of White Noise”.
  2. CB - Cathartic  - An aggressive tone using the Metal Lead V (Based on the Peavey 5150) inspired by the song "Catharsis" from the album "Vol. 8".
  3. CB - Madhaus  - An aggressive metal tone using the Metal Lead V (Based on the Peavey 5150) inspired by the song "Madhouse" from the album "Spreading the Disease".
  4. CB - 4 All Kings X - A monstrous two-amp rig with a touch of Tape Echo & Chorus, inspired by the song "For All Kings" from the album "For All Kings".
  5. CB - Madhaus (Delay) - A powerful tone using the Metal Lead V (Based on the Peavey 5150) inspired by the song "Madhouse" from the album "Spreading the Disease" with added Digital Delay rack FX.
  6. CB - Chunk1 - A chunky tone featuring the British Silver (Based on Marshall® Jubilee™) and pushed by the ProDrive (Based on ProCo® Rat™), inspired by the song "I Am The Law" from the album "Among the Living".
  7. CB - Chunk1 (Chorus) - A chunky tone featuring the British Silver (Based on Marshall® Jubilee™) and pushed by the ProDrive (Based on ProCo® Rat™), inspired by the song "I Am The Law" from the album "Among the Living" topped off with a stereo Digital Chorus rack FX.
  8. CB - Chunk1 (Chorus & Delay) - A chunky tone featuring the British Silver (Based on Marshall® Jubilee™) and pushed by the ProDrive (Based on ProCo® Rat™), inspired by the song "I Am The Law" from the album "Among the Living" topped off with a Digital Chorus and Digital Delay rack FX.
  9. CB - Chunk2 - Another chunky tone featuring the British Silver (Based on Marshall® Jubilee™) and pushed by the Metal Distortion (Based on BOSS® MT-2) and sculpted by the 10 Band Graphic EQ.
  10. CB - Rock  - A powerful tone, utilizing the raw power of the SLO-100 and a small amount of Analog Chorus, great for sculpting your best rock riffs.
  11. CB - Lead - A ripping lead tone, featuring the British Silver (Based on Marshall® Jubilee™), a touch of Overdrive (Based on BOSS® SD-1) and Chorus.
  12. CB - Krunch  - A crunchy dual-amp rig featuring the Darrell 100 (Based on Randall® RG 100) sculpted by the 6 Band EQ (Based on MXR® 6-band EQ) inspired by the song "I Am The Law" from the album "Among the Living".
  13. CB - Krunch (Delay) - A crunchy dual-amp rig featuring the Darrell 100 (Based on Randall® RG 100) sculpted by the 6 Band EQ (Based on MXR® 6-band EQ) inspired by the song "I Am The Law" from the album "Among the Living" topped off with a Chorus and Digital Delay stomp FX.
  14. CB - Medusa  - A heavy tone created using the Metal Lead V (Based on the Peavey 5150) with Rezo and Digital Reverb rack FX, inspired by the song "Medusa" from the album "Spreading the Disease".
  15. CB - Kings X - A powerful stereo two-amp rig paying homage to one of Charlie's favorite bands "Kings X".
  16. CB - Stand or Fall - A heavy tone created using the Metal Lead V (Based on the Peavey 5150) with Rezo and Digital Reverb rack FX and a Chorus stomp, inspired by the song "Stand or Fall" from the album "Spreading the Disease".
  17. CB - BAD - Influenced by the sounds of "The Edge" of U2, this sound was created with the song "BAD" in mind.
  18. CB - Has No Name - Influenced by the sounds of "The Edge" of U2, this sound was created with the song "Where the Streets Have No Name" in mind.
  19. CB - Ran like Hell - Influenced by the sounds of "Pink Floyds" guitar player David Gilmour, this sound was created with the song "Run like Hell" in mind.
  20. CB - CB is Paranoid - "This one should be self explanatory..." - Charlie Benante
  21. CB - Now - Influenced by the sounds of "The Smiths" , this sound was created with the song "How Soon Is Now?" in mind.
  22. CB - Dirty - A dirty tone inspired by the sounds of "AC/DC", specifically the song "Hells Bells". 
  23. CB - In the Family - This distorted guitar tone and its squashed dynamics were inspired by the song “Keep It In The Family" from the album "Persistence of Time”.

  3. Extract the included preset files and follow the included instructions for installation
