More and more pro keyboard players are loving the convenience and authentic tonewheel organ tones of IK's Hammond B-3X on an iPad or laptop. We worked hand-in-hand with the Hammond Organ Company to recreate its soul and vibe and there's simply no better way to get those sounds on stage.
We met up Seth Costner whose live credits include Chris Young, Luke Combs, Lauren Alaina, Chase Rice, The Swon Brothers, Lindsay Ell, The Drifters and many more. Here's what Seth has to say about using Hammond B-3X live.
I love everything about the Hammond B-3X virtual instrument from IK Multimedia! The layout and design is super intuitive and the sounds and tones are superb. I especially love having access to the real Leslie amps and speakers. They really knocked it out of the park with this one! The Hammond B-3X is amazing!

All the soul and controls
Hammond B-3X approaches the instrument the way the original hardware organ works. B-3X starts with 91 free-running tonewheels, based on several meticulously-maintained Hammond organs, and mixes those in real-time based on the note and the drawbar levels for absolute realism.
For live use, a "Controls" view hides the keyboard and enlarges the drawbars and switches for less distraction while playing. And there's even included MIDI assignments for modern Hammond digital organs, making it plug-and-play easy to perform with everything right at your fingertips.
