TONEX is gaining fans and reviews are coming in fast with lots of positive feedback on IK's AI Machine Modeling technology and the TONEX experience.
In this video review, Ola Englund uses TONEX and TONEX Capture to create a Tone Model of his Synergy IIC+ preamp and MESA head and cab. He goes through all the steps of Tone Modeling and then demos the resulting TONEX Tone Model against his real rig with surprising results.
Why does that make me excited? Well, it's basically for the simple fact that I can now capture something and use it as a plug-in straight in Logic.
I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this. The captures you make yourself turn out really well and awesome. The greatest part about this is that I can now load this into my Logic projects for a guitar and use those captures.
"Alright, so now we can AB the real rig versus the modeled rig in TONEX. This is the real rig right here. And then the TONEX model. I must say, it's very accurate. Sounds pretty good to me.
"This is the TONEX Capture, which is IK Multimedia's own reamp box to use with TONEX. Worth mentioning is that you can still capture a rig without this device if you have an audio interface that has a guitar output. But if you have a smaller interface that doesn't have a dedicated line out with the right signal level out to a guitar amplifier, this will come in handy."
