Using MixBox for Guitar

James Cody: “You guys really knocked it out of the park with this plug-in!”

Watch guitarist James Tyler Cody as he sets up a complete signal chain of guitar effects in this video. James calls MixBox "literally the new standard of workflow, innovation, and efficiency in music production."

James Tyler Cody is an accomplished guitarist, best known for his work with The Blue Trees. While James is proficient in many genres on guitar, he's also a member of the Audio Engineering Society (AES) and has a Master of Science in Audio Engineering.

MixBox: the new standard

Some quotes from the video:

"My first impression of MixBox is that this plug-in is literally the new standard of workflow, innovation and efficiency in music production. As a guitar player, AmpliTube is one of my favorite go-to plug-ins for tracking lead and rhythm parts.

But with MixBox, I literally have everything I need all within one plug-in.

"In the past, I would use third-party plug-ins for all of my pre and post effects like reverbs and delays. But with MixBox, I literally have everything I need all within one plug-in. Specifically, MixBox gives me the option of using up to 8 modules in one single rack window.

"So this is great for me because I can create my own custom channel strips that I can use today and save to recall in the future. For example, one of my favorite custom chains I made in MixBox actually uses 6 modules.

"So, once again, IK Multimedia, thank you. You guys really knocked it out of the park with this plug-in. It's safe to say I'm going to use this for many, many years to come."
