Thomas van Opstal reviews IK's new iLoud Precision MTM studio monitors. In this video, he unboxes and calibrates a pair in his studio mixing room using X-MONITOR, an advanced control application that enables extended acoustic and voicing adjustments. Then he tries out the speakers in an untreated live room and compares the results.
For a compact lightweight package, you get a lot of sound and power. The frequency response is solid. I already liked it without any calibration.
I've had a listen to the calibration and I have to say it is doing a lot. If you happen to be in a situation where you cannot treat your room, this might help you out a lot.
I really like the design with the textured paint job. Plus the isolation pods that you get is a great addition. It just really makes sense. And then last but not least is their price. Because for 1,400 Euros this is a good deal!
